While we’re no longer in our 125th celebration year, we want to keep these pages active for a bit more because your heartfelt memories deeply resonate with us. We will keep this site live through the end of 2022; however, we are no longer taking story submissions. I hope you enjoy viewing these stories through 2022. Sandy Denver Zoo is just a happy, fun, safe place for me. I feel like we've been part of the Zoo family for generations. Tell Me More Kate I've been going to the zoo since I was little; it has always been a favorite place for me to go. I love how many memories I have in the old buildings and seeing the new changes that happen. Tell Me More Sarah "At that moment, I made a promise that if my child and I survived this traumatic birth experience, we would go see Zoo Lights every year to celebrate." It was covering its face. And then another one got jealous and tried to steal the blanket! And they were basically playing hide and go seek! It was pretty funny." Tell Me More Amber "Denver Zoo is our monthly family day—my wife and I our hoping to renew our vows there next year! My favorite Denver Zoo memory happened in 2015. My daughter, Delfinia, was taking a picture with two lions, Sabi and Sango. I told her to smile, and the lion behind her also smiled!" Christian "I felt compelled to help the zoo as it's such a special place and inspired my work so much." Tell Me More Penny "Being with my mom at the Zoo, especially towards the end of her life, and being able to take my kids and my mom on the same trip was magical!" It is a great place for the three of us to walk around, talk, and enjoy each other's company." Amanda My husband and I had one of our first official dates at Zoo Lights.
